Maami : low turn out at Autograph session in Silver Bird

The fury of the Heavens were unleashed on Sunday, the 19th of February, bombarding certain parts of Lagos state with its rain missiles. However, it didn’t rain on the Island, which is nothing new, if you’ve got some geography background or simply take interest in meteorology. Despite the anger of this natural element, the autograph session for “MAAMI”,a movie by ace filmmaker Tunde Kelani, proceeded at the Silver bird Galleria.

Movie enthusiasts eager to receive the uniquely designed “MAAMI” autographed card shaped in the letter M, showed up. Funke Akindele, Wole Ojo, Ayomide Abatti and Tunde Kelani were on hand to faithfully discharge the “signing duty” amidst the busy clicking away of cameras and pumped up music in the back round. Although the turn out was not impressive, with some attributing it to the rains and low publicity of the autograph session within the Galleria, at least the stars kept to their word and showed up. Another autograph session is scheduled to take place at Ozone cinema on Saturday 25th February by 2pm. We’ll certainly keep tabs of it…
