BOBTV termed as the leading Film and TV programmes Expo has unveiled plans for this year’s edition (its 9th), which has been tagged “The Creative Industries: Nigeria’s Untapped wealth”. The platform has overtime organized exhibitions, trainings, workshops, conferences, seminars, and proved as a solid forum for networking. This year’s International event will run for three days (March 13-16) at the Ladi Kwali Convention Centre, Sheraton Hotels and Towers, Abuja. Exhibitions will be held to showcase creative industries, provide master classes, capacity building, business networking amongst others.
Amaka Igwe, the captain of the BOBTV ship, says it’s time to see Entertainment industries as “creative industries” bringing about worthy growth. Lead speakers for the event include Efere Ozako, Dr Olusegun Aganga, Chinenye Uzoukwu, Peter Moutray, Pat Nebo, Gloria Ene, Anuok Bartard, amongst others. BOBTV has recognized individuals who excelled in their focal Industries and honoured them with awards. Some past Awardees are Mr Peter Igho, Andy Amenechi, Liz Benson, Sam loco Efe (now deceased), Raymond Dokpesi, Dr Umar Farouk, Ben Murray Bruce, Dagogo Diminas.
Joke Silva, Peace Faberesima, Pat Nebo, amongst others have been penciled down as Awardees for this year’s edition. Students from various universities will compete via their works, to win the One million Naira prize. Storm 360 will kick off the three day event on a musical note. It promises to be an intellectually explosive event!
