The Past Came Calling by Ruke Amata: Hits Naija Cinemas July 6th!

Sequel to the successful premiere of Ruke Amata’s latest movie “The Past Came calling”, in the UK, the highly anticipated flick which has created a huge buzz amongst movie enthusiasts, pundits and critics, will hit the big screens in Nigeria on July 6th 2012. He produced and directed the movie, deploying elements of simplicity, with large pints of intrigues, twists and turns you’d certainly love.

For those who don’t know, he is a member of the film making wave family (The AMATAS’) and had relocated to the UK a few years ago, grooming African actors in the diaspora through his visionary platform “Class Act Uk” reality TV show. The laudable platform has given winners the opportunity to live their dreams by starring in flicks alongside African movie celebrities. The movie parades the likes of Chioma Chukwuka-Akpotha, John Dumelo, Oliver Jolliffe, Penelope Bouchot Humbert, Demetri Turin and Class Act UK 2011 winner, Marie Kumba Gomez.

The flick unveils Susan (Marie Kumba Gomez) a young medical student, who with her sister,Maggie (Chioma Chukwuka-Akpotha) goes to study in the UK. She falls in love with a white man, the handsome Guy Dermot (Oliver Jolliffe), after being introduced to him by her sister’s boyfriend, Kachi (John Dumelo). The hot romance races along the fiery emotional turf until events rearing its ugly head from the past suddenly comes calling and threatens to set them apart…

The Past Came Calling projects what the power of love can do in the midst of the fiery burning trials, and its winning streak in overcoming racial prejudice and the hangover of the past.It’s a must watch movie in July…
