OC Ukeje

Film adaptation is subtly finding its way into the movie terrain in Nigeria. Prior to this time, only a handful of filmmakers practiced the concept, which ironically sells like hot cake in Hollywood. OC Ukeje, Malachi Kirby, have been slated to star in the film adaptation of Bola Agbaje’s play “Gone Too far”. The British/Nigerian’s award winning play (comedy),clinched the Laurence Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliated Theatre in 2008.

The play is set in Peckham, and gives an insight into the activities of a group of kids over the course of a day, as they battle to realize their dreams. Destiny Ekaragha has been penciled down as the director of the movie while the screenplay has been handled by Bola Agbaje. Gone Too far, is being financed by Poisson Rouge Pictures and the British Film Institute film Fund.Filming starts on October 22nd 2012 and has been projected to last for a month.

Well we wish them the best…
