The movie “The Gods Are Still Not To Blame” directed by Funke Fayoyin and produced by Mohammed Ayoub, Byron Ene and Funke Fayoyin is set to re-live the adaptation of the original work Odeipus Rex and Nigeria’s adaptation, The gods are not to blame, by Ola Rotimi.

Those who studied literature in school or love reading wide, will be familiar with the story. In this movie, a child is born to King Adedoyin, and with the naming ceremony in progress, the diviner declares that the new baby will kill his father and marry his mother. His mother connives with one of her maids to adopt the baby and relocates to her native land, Cameroon, in order to avert the prophecy. Twenty-eight years later, the young man returns to his homeland where he will fulfill the prophecy…
