Urichindere By Dike-Ogu Chukwumerije

“Urichindere” is a work of fiction written by Dike-Ogu Chukwumerije. The 322 paged novel was published by Afriscope and is available on Barnes and Noble, Amazon.com, and bookstores nationwide.

The novel is set in the 90’s during the dictatorial regime. The country is in turmoil no small thanks to decades of military dictatorship locking horns with a high demand for a return to civil rule.

Urichindere, a student in a top notch high school learns to survive in boarding school. He makes friends with Mac Jimmy, while Temlong is his rival. He experiences love and heartbreak, but besides that, the socio-political events threatens his very existence. His Uncle, an activist, takes Urichindere with his family to the centre of the storm…and his relationships must come under the flame’s test.
