International Film Training For 10 Students : By AFRIFF!

Ten lucky students who will attend this year’s Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF); (the training workshop) will be taken to the United States for practical training in various aspects of filmmaking. This was unveiled by the founder/CEO of AFRIFF, Ms Chioma ude.

According to her, “The scholarship will be to attend a short film course at a prestigious American university, and is a collaborative effort with a key AFRIFF partner”. She also stated that the international training was in line with the vision of the festival’s training program to provide growth opportunities for its graduates.

AFRIFF 2014 will hold from November 9 to November 16, 2014 at the Tinapa Business and Leisure Resort, Calabar, Cross River State. Registration for those who want to participate in all aspects of the festival begins on September 14, 2014 while interested participants for this year’s workshop should register at,, as only registered candidates will be eligible for shortlisting for the workshop.

The aspects of filmmaking to be taught at the workshop are directing, acting, scriptwriting and cinematography.
